The C9120, DMD WorkStation measures the DMD (Differential Mode Delay ) values of multimode optical fibers such as those for 10 Gb-Ethernet applications, conforming with the FOTP 220 standard. Due to the very high sensitivity of the used detectors (based on streak technology) a high throughput even for long fibers can be achieved. 
This workstations features include:
  • DMD Measurements on multimode optical fibers according to FOTP220 and IEC60793 Part 1-49
  • Short measuring times (example: complete scan in < 5 min for a 10 km fiber)
  • Automatic fiber positioning
  • Auto setting region of interest (ROI)
  • Single and 3-D DMD profiles
  • Data transfer to network
