Hamamatsu provides easy-to-use circuits for operating silicon photodiodes. These boards contain functionality that is useful in prototyping or designing an experiment. The functions performed by these boards include low noise amplification, wide bandwidth amplification, and logarithmic amplification.

Hamamatsu also manufactures photodiode modules, which combine a silicon photodiode and current-to-voltage conversion amplifier. Dedicated signal processing units are also available.
