Long Abstract

The H10682-210 is a photon counting head device consisting of a metal package photomultiplier tube (PMT), along with a high speed photon counting circuit and a high-voltage power supply circuit. the high voltage supply for the PMT and the descrimination level are preset to optimum values, allowing photon counting measurement by just connecting a +5V supply.

The photocathode of the PMT in the H10682-210 is the ultra bialkali (UBA) photocathode, so the H10682-210 has higher sensitivity than conventional photon counting heads. It has an over light detection function to output a signal at the state when an output count falls dues to excessive incident light. With this signal measurement data can be judged to be normal or not. Additionally, the photocathode is protected from too much incident light by operating the optical shutter with a signal from the over light detection output.
